Splash Gaurds

Got another mud flap ticket. Only this time the officer called them splash guards. I told him that I bought them. Just hadn't had time to put them on. He told me this time, I have to take a picture to prove that I put them on.

Snow Again

We took the kids back up to the gravel pits on Sunday. This time, we were not as cold. We borrowed Dawn's sleds, and a few jackets. There were a bunch of people out thier with inner tubes, they look fun. They look to be very bouncy. You could fly right off. (some people did.) We met up with a few of Dusty's friends, and everyone had a blast. (Of course until the kids were all cold and wet)With poor planning on my part, my battery on my camera died after about six pictures.

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines day! To follow tradition, we got the kids each their own heart candy bar story. Shawn's- 'Mr. Goodbar' was so 'nutrageous' about his 'nerds' that he took them to see the 'watchamacallit' at the 'symphony'. Gracie's- 'Baby Ruth' had to 'Take 5' because he dropped his 'kit kat' on '5th avenue' with his 'butter finger'. Summer's- 'Heath' and the '3 Musketeers' went to the 'milky way' to see the 'starburst' and had 'mounds' of fun.

Thank you Dad for all your very clever ideas. I love to steal them!

Float Parade

Arizona's Birthday is tomorrow, and in celebration, the Fourth grade at Zaharis put on a float parade. Shawn's class made their floats in honor of Gila County. Shawn's float said, "Gila County Rocks!" on the top. He included pyrite, and some polished green stone, and many others. Gracie got to sit by Summer, and even participate in the Ice Cream Float party after.

blue

Well, it's blue. (and flooded again) Dusty says it's to baby blue. Maybe I should make it more masculine. What's your vote?

Dusty finelly got a car this weekend 2002 WRX. And, it's blue! I love blue.
The drive way was quite colorful Sunday after Dennis (Dusty's dad) stopped by. We had the red rental, the blue wrx, the yellow truck and Dennis's green truck.

Sunday brought rain, which made my garage more like and indoor swimming pool.
But, I did start the painting. Primered everything, cieling, walls. I also got the actual paint on the Ceiling. Dusty and Dennis both wondered why I would bother to paint white over white. But, that primer will always look like primer to me. And yes, that is the RZR in the picture. Dusty would like to keep it in there. In a perfect would, we could. But, in a perfect world, the garage would never masquarade as a drapery workroom.

You can see the water puddling in if you look close. There is a retaining type wall on the east side of the house that was holding about 2 inches of water. It made it all worse. The garage drains into a corner, not out the door. We are going to break down that wall, and see if that helps at all.

Here's mud in your eye

Yesterday, I worked. You know, sewed some stuff, talked to some clients, put out some "fires". I took Dusty's and my taxes to get done. Stopped by Dusty's work to get some kisses, and drop off cookies, stopped by B&B to give my dad some cookies and here the family dirt. Went back to work. 2:30 rolls around, and I am off to Shawn and Summer's bus stop. Get the kids, stop by Jeremy's house to feed the dog. Go to Gracie's school. Had to actually get out of the truck and go into the office to get some tax info. Got Gracie. Went by Angela's to drop off her cushions and ottoman. Went home. fed the kids a snack. Started pizza dough in the bread machine. Got the kids going on Homework. Mixed up some mud to start the texture on the garage. Started with the ceiling. Got mud in my eye. Both eyes. Finished the pizza dough, put it in the oven. Textured the walls. By the time Dusty got home from work, I was covered with texture. He offered to order pizza. I told him I had alread made it. (Cause I'm wonderful) and that it was ready to eat if he could just take it out of the oven and feed the kids. Only got one wall and the ceiling textured before I ran out of mud. All this before 7:00. I'm going to finish today. For sure. Anyone with a crazy whim to paint, feel free to stop by Saturday.
